Vonage I have Vonage softphone service. I want both my cell phone to ring and my softphone

I have Vonage softphone service. I want both my cell phone to ring and my softphone so wherever I happen to be I can get the call. But...I have found out that when I am not connected to Vonage online with softphone....Vonage will only ring my cell phone if I have Network Availability turned on and forwarded to my cell phone. Call-forwarding doesn't seem to work when the softphone isn't logged into Vonage's network.

So the problem I'd like to solve is how to get Vonage to take a voicemail instead of my cell phone when Vonage uses the Network Availability option to call my cell phone. I just don't want to depend on checking messages on both my cell phone and Vonage's service. I'd rather Vonage always take the message even if my cell phone rings (and I did get my cell phone voicemail turned off)..

Confusing stuff....maybe Vonage releases the call once Network Availability service is activated so my cell phone has to take the message. Seems dumb to not let my cell phone take the message but I hate cell phones and only use the pay-as-you-go service which charges me to access my voicemail with the cell phone. And BTW, I found a great cell service called Beyond Wireless. The minutes don't expire...ever...they say. I have no contract, used an old AT&T phone.

Anyone know how to get Vonage to always take a message no matter what?
