Vonage I had a tech respond by saying: I understand your Vonage router often locks



I had a tech respond by saying:

I understand your Vonage router often locks up due to which you often lose your
phone service and internet service and so you are considered about the firmware
version.

My sincere apologies for the time you have spent dealing with this issue and I
thank you for all the additional information provided by you.

Please do the software reset of Linksys WRTP54G, by following the steps given
below:

1. Disconnect the telephone from Linksys WRTP54G and connect a computer to one
of the Ethernet ports.

2. Open a Internet Explorer and in the address bar type in the following and hit
enter:

"http://192.168.15.1"

When it prompts to enter the Username and Password, type "admin" in both
Username and Password fields and then click on "Log In".

3. Once you get the Login page, click on Administration and then click on
"Factory Defaults" below Administration.

4. Select the option "Restore Router Factory Defaults" to "YES" and click on
"Save Settings".

5. It will again ask for the Username and Password.

Username: user
Password: tivonpw

This should result "Settings are successful or Settings are Failed".

If the Settings are successful, please connect the phone to the phone port 1 of
Linksys WRTP54G and check for the dial tone.

6. If it says "Settings are Failed" try repeating the above steps, two more
times.

If it still shows "Settings Failed", please reply to this email so that I will
be able to assist you further.



I didnt even get as far as settings pass or fail cause the username and pass are wrong.
