Vonage I followed a post I found in the forum called brand new construction since it was

I followed a post I found in the forum called brand new construction since it was my situation exactly. I have 6 Cat5 cables outside my home that are terminated to 6 different phone jacks in my house. I removed one of the plates from a phone jack in my home to see how it was wired, the 4 wires used were Orange, Orange/White, Blue, and Blue/White. I mounted a water proof electrical box on my house and ran the Cat 5 cables into it. I then connected all of the Orange cables together using wire nuts and electrical tape, connected all the Orange/White cables together using wire nuts and electrical tape, dis the same thing for Blue and Blue/White. Then I went into the house and connected my Vonage adapter to a phone jack, and tried plugging a phone into another jack but I didn't have any dial tone. I used a telephone line tester I bought from Radio Shack and it errors out saying Reverse Polarity. What does this mean? Can someone tell me what I did wrong?

Reverse Ploarity

You didn't do anything wrong. Connecting a Vonage adapter to house wiring by using
Your right it's working perfect. Thanks again
So why didn't it work the first time? Did you have to do a polarity switch?
The first cable I used to connect my Vonage adapter to the wall was bad. (I Think)
