Vonage I fell into the trap of thinking only of my adapter the VT1000. In the pass-through

I fell into the trap of thinking only of my adapter the VT1000. In the pass-through mode the VT1000 will consume one static IP but the remainder should work fine. (I was initially under the impression that the VT1000 in pass-through mode did not consume an IP address, but recent research casts doubt upon that supposition.)

The more advanced adapters also function as routers so you should be able to set up the remaining computers with static IP addresses and then configure the netmask or static routes to allow them to be addressed.

So a) yes, b) depends on configuration and adapter

Even with the extra charge for softphones I think this would still be cheaper than
