Vonage I don't use Direcway now., But I had it several years before other "Broadband"
I don't use Direcway now., But I had it several years before other "Broadband" became available. I tried using Vonage during the last 2 months that I had it. I was on Direcway's consumer plan and it did work to some extent. I was able to make outgoing calls, but incoming seemed to be a problem. The calls that I made always had up to a second delay, usually never more than that. I was unable to use the computer while talking on the phone, if I did the call would break up severely or just drop.It always seemed I had to re-boot to get the TA to work, as I would lose dial tone a-lot. I mainly ran vonage as a test and didn't rely on it as my primary service.

• I can read what he said. A single satellite hop will introduce a round trip delay
• It's really not the latency issue but the burst nature of the satellite service.
• 10+ seconds indicates a problem with your bandwidth, which is usually a bad install
• Not sure if you were referring to other posts or my previous post pointing to the
