I don't think there is any time limit on it. I heard on the news that T-Mobile is using this a a "loss leader" to retain customers they have. There is so much jumping around from cell carrier to carrier they figured this was the way to hook people and have them remain T-Mobile customers. The only caveat is that you need to have a $39.99 plan or higher with them. Still not bad as most of us already have that. Once my yearly contract with Vonage is up I think I am going to jump ship and save myself $180 a year! Unless of course Vonage is going to match the $10 rate.
