Vonage I am the owner of a WRT54GP2. No problems with the actual connection or quality

I am the owner of a WRT54GP2. No problems with the actual connection or quality from Vonage, but the wireless router is a big pain. For about a 24 hour period i can connect to wirlessy from one of 4 laptops, but after that, i cant. The Windows wireless client will just display that "aquiring Network Adress" and the Linksys client will display "waiting for keys" and of course they never get one. I use WPA-PSK encryption with SSID enabled.

Anyways, its useless to have the wireless function here b/c its so tempermental and inconsistent, so today i went out and bought a PAP2 b/c i figure I can plug in to any one of the jacks in my wired network throughout the house. I already user-modified the MAC address of the WRT54GP2 to be identical to the PAP2 and i figure I can plug the PAP2 into my trusty ol Linksys BEFSR41 v.2 router. Well, it didnt work. The PAP2 gets assigned an IP but it wont pick up the line from Vonage. I've tried plugging directly into the BEFSR41 and still no luck. I;ve modified the WAN MAC to be identical to the PAP2, no luck.

If i switch back to the WRT54GP2 it picks up the line no problem. It has an identical MAC address as the PAP2, so shouldnt it work?

Im just not interested in waiting a billion years on hold to talk to a tech who I know more than and having to SLOWLY follow his set of instructions. Anyone have any ideas?
