I am presently using ADT and have a Safewatch Pro 3000 (Honeywell "brains"). It is a wired installation and includes windows, doors, motion, etc.

I am happy to say that Vonage is presently working with ADT but I would love a lower priced option below my current $32/month. I would also love something a little less "moody" then my Voip based solution.

I have been looking at different choices that would enable me to either use a radio signal/cellular or go through my internet connection. I've been looking at options from Alarm.com, uControl, and NextAlarm. It seems that my choices are between something "internet" based (like NextAlarm) or radio/cellular based (like Alarm.com). uControl seems to combine both depending on what you want to pay.

Nextalarm seems the cheapest and uses a $99 ABN device but seems to be "flaky at times and I've heard the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Alarm.com would require new keypads and central "brain" (GE Concord 4.0) possibly running upwards of $200-$300 dollars. Do they still offer the $100 discount as a Vonage member? Spending this much seems like it could defeat the purpose of saving on my monthly bill....

One thing I'm toying with is the idea of installing something myself to work with my existing wiring and have either SafeMart monitor it or Alarm.com. My first choice is something that is cellular/radio based.

Can anyone share some thoughts on comparing these companies? I am not looking for the "employee-in-disguise" comments so please just the real deal. I appreciate any help or advice you can offer.
