I am having problems with cingular in the same way you described. Anytime calls get forwarded thru Vonage the caller id is behaving weird.
This problem started on Cincinnati bell i-wireless phones about 4 months ago all of a sudden all calls forwarded thru Vonage came up private. My solution was to switch wireless providers to cingular.
then about 5 weeks ago calls forwarded thru Vonage came up on my cingular phone with the last 2 digits cut off 80% of the time, other times it comes up out of area, and sometimes in the usual way it always worked with the + sign in front of the number.

Obviously most people forward calls to cell phones from land lines and Vonage lines. This means that Vonage has big problems at the moment as far as forwarding goes. I have sent in a message to repair today, hoping that they would fix the problem. I have business lines thru Vonage. I am a happy customer but this problem is a deal buster. Without being able to leave the office and still having access to caller id from customers. I can't continue much longer with Vonage. Out of fairness to Vonage I will wait until I get a reply from customer service and post it here. I can't imagine others are not having the same problem. Does anyone know how to resolve it. I have also thought it is my cell phones, I use nokia and motorola, I tested 3 different ones and have the same problem. I would switch to a blackberry it that would help. Is everyone else having this problem? Is anyone still receiving caller id information correctly when calls are transfered thru Vonage?
