I am having phone proirity problems and was thinking of moving the VT in front of the router for the very reasons you mention above. However, all of the installation information says to put it behind the router. I don't know why and I don't know how this configuration allows the VT to give priority to the phone call.

Can I use the following setup: 1) DSL line to VT WAN port, 2) VT to MN-500 router (via the PC/LAN port), 3) router to wired and wireless PCs and devices?

Do I give up anything by going to this configuration?
