I am having an issue which has come up just in the last couple weeks. When people call me, whether from a cell phone or a land line, it does not ring and the caller gets a message like "A long distance company access code is required to make this call..... 3 5 7". What does this mean? Those who are getting this are in the same area code as me, they do not need to dial long distance. I can dial out to them with no problem. This tends to happen more at night. I should mention that I am not happy with this....and I called Vonage tech support twice and got nowhere. The first time, she told me to reset my device and she'd call me back. Never did. Second time, a guy told me that sometimes the network will not recognize the Vonage phone number without all 10 digits - which is not true, people have dialed 10 digits and still got that message. They don't seem to know. I have roadrunner cable ISP, and my device for Vonage is the Linksys RTP300. I do not have a problem with internet speeds nor with outbound dialing. Has anyone else had this? What does this message mean? What do I do?
