I am going to assume you have it set up as follows: MODEM -> WRTP54G -> V-PORTAL (note, you can reverse the WRTP54G and V-PORTAL for this discussion, doesn't matter). Anyway, any machine behind (in this case) the V-PORTAL is going to have some problems if the WRTP54G and the V-PORTAL share the same IP address range. Take one of the two and change its base IP address (the DHCP server IP address range) to 192.168.14.x, and things should get better. If your PC is behind (again, in the diagram above) the V-PORTAL, then you have two choices. 1. (best): Move all PCs to the WRTP54G level, so the V-PORTAL and any and all of your computers are peers, then the WRTP54G should be able to forward ports all day long. 2. Forward from the WRTP54G to the V-PORTAL, then from the V-PORTAL to your PC - clumsy, prone to problems, and probably not really great for either router, since you are asking two consumer-grade routers to each do NAT forwarding.

I assume you are talking about acessing your PC on remote desktop from the outside
so set my linksys to 192.168.15.2 I got that. My private ip scheme is 192.168.1.x
Here is what I did: Cable Modem assigns a public IP to the Vonage device. The
Set 192.168.15.2 up as a DMZ on the vportal. This will simulate your linksys being
Not necessarily true. when I did it that way and disconnected the router, 192.168.15.2
Well I have it setup like: Modem -> V Portal -> Linksys WRT54G ->
WRT54G is a good router - I have one of the older Linux based ones myself. There's
So no QoS issues?? Known of that is? Is there QoS on v portal?
