Vonage I am getting very confused with the Vonage rebates
1. On 12/23/06, I activated
I am getting very confused with the Vonage rebates
1. On 12/23/06, I activated new Vonage service via a Linksys Vonage PAP-2 router purchase through Buy.com.
2. Rebate 1 - Buy.com has a $125 new activation rebate. I submitted that rebate (link below). I think this rebate is straightforward and I should get the rebate.
3. Rebate 2 - Amex has a $25 rebate. I submitted that rebate (link below). I think this rebate is straight forward and I should get the rebate.
4. On 12/26/06, I purchase a Vonage V-Phone through Bestbuy.com (not Buy.com). I intend to call Vonage Customer Service and have them tie the V-Phone MAC address to my Linksys Router (at my home) with the same telephone number as my home.
5. Rebate 3 - Bestbuy.com has a $40 rebate for the V-Phone. Requires Vonage activation within 15 days of V-Phone purchase and requests MAC address (presumably MAC address of V-Phone).
6. Rebate 4 - Bestbuy.com has a $100 (in addition to the $40 rebate) rebate for the V-Phone. Requires Vonage activation within 15 days of V-Phone purchase and requests MAC address (presumably MAC address of V-Phone).
My questions are as follows:
1. Does simply activating the V-Phone TIED to my original (Linksys PAP-2 router) number suffice to get the two (2) Bestbuy.com rebates?
2. Or, do I have to activate a NEW Vonage account with a NEW number and if so so, does this invalidate the rebate since the Terms and Conditions of the Bestbuy.com rebates limit one (1) account per household?
3. What should I do to maximize my rebates.

90+ out of pocket
$125 Buy.com rebate
$25 Amex rebate
$100 Best Buy gift card
$40 Best Buy rebate
$290 rebates/gift card

1. I ordered a Linksys Vonage adapter from Buy.com. It was $52 less the Google
checkout -$20, or $32. It has a $125 activation based rebate.
