I am currently in the same excruciating pickle. Shortly after I disconnected our phone service, I received the said charges for the RISU. I called Comcast immediately afterward, and the set of instructions they gave me regarding the RISU involved me traipsing around our house to find the piece of equipment in order to return it. My roommates and I are tenants in a duplex just off of a college campus, I couldn't have less of an idea of where this nondescript morsel of telephone equipment may be residing. Comcast sent out a technician to aid me in the process, which was endearing, I suppose, but the dolt couldn't find it either. As you probably now know, seeing as it's been several months since your post, the RISU is a very small unit meant to be an auxiliary power source for your telephone in case of a power outage. As its name implies, it is certainly internal in regard to the house; it should be plugged into an indoor outlet. However, I - and everyone else for that matter - cannot locate it. I hope in all earnest that you have solved this dilemma, because I am anxious to find a way out of mine.
