I am a newbie so forgive me. Have you played with the Vonage bandwidth saver feature? I have a really fast Internet connection but I still have troubles using the fastest 90 speed. I think I have mine on 30 now, possibly 50.On 90 I would lose dialtone randomly.Once I turned things down, I havent lost dialtone in a couple of days.

The only time lately I have had any issues was when I was maxing out my upload speeds with Bit Torrent. I could hear the person I called just fine but they were not hearing me right.Said I sounded wavy and were not hearing every few words. I even had Qos set to low for all protocols but Voice. It still effected things. As long as I dont max out my connection, things are fine.

Sometimes I have knocked the phone offline with heavy torrenting and had to reboot the router. Now I know not to be careless with my torrenting. I was experimenting to see how much it would take to mess up things. Normal people wouldnt try to stress things the way I was.

I am using the Linksys WRTP54G Vonage router. I originally purchased the Linksys PAP adaptor but they sent me the wireless router instead for the cheaper price. I hear that Linksys PAP adapter works well.Its nice cause its not a router. It just connects to a free ethernet port on your existing router or switch. I hooked one up for a customer and he hasnt complained since. Sometimes that is what I wish I would have gotten.Especially since I bought a nice Buffalo Wireless MIMO router with a signal amplifier built in. Now that I got this Linksys router and got the firmware flashed, all my troubles are gone.
