Hopefully nobody minds if I revisit this issue. I got my number ported today and when I got home I was looking forward to playing with it. I used my cell phone to call my house only to discover that CID wasn't working. The way I have the phones set up now is one two line phone (taking a whopping 1.3 REN...but only has one line connected to it), a panasonic expandable system taking a wimpy 0.1 REN (soon to be replaced by the uniden TRU8865 system)...and a Sony IT-B3 corded phone which I can't find any REN info on.

The sony corded phone is mounted on my structured wiring board and is close to a lot of electornic devices...so I though it could be causing the intereference....so I unplugged it. That fixed the CID problem like a charm! I only used the sony to test that the line is working. Since the board will be mounted in a utility room I wanted a quick way to test that the Vonage adapter was working ok.

I have a couple more phones I'd like to hook up to the system when we move into our new home....eventually I'll have the two line phone in my office, a uniden expanable system around the house, our current panasonic expandable in the guest rooms, and possible another cordless phone in the basement. I defintly would like to have CID working on these phones. I will be wiring the house with CAT 5E, so hopefully the interference will be at a minimum.

I currently have a RTP300 with 10.0.55.

Also, can you get amplifiers for REN and CID info? You'd think some businesses would have tons of phone that it would be needed. Can it also be a phone cable issue? I guess I could try different phone cables to connect to the sony and see if that helps.

Anyone else want to share their CID experience?
