I'm a new user... My vital info:

- Am in St. Louis, MO USA
- Charter Cable
- Not sure of upload and download speeds
- Our modem doesn't have anything to indicate what the make is
- Using Linksys RTP300 Adapter
- Tried two different setups: Modem -> Router -> Computers & Vonage Adapter -> Phone, and during tech support call, changed it to Modem -> Adapter -> Computers & phone

We can't get a dialtone using the equipment. We *do* have a light on the Line 1 LED, interestingly, that same light shows even if we plug the phone into the Line 2 spot. We've tried multiple phones & have called tech support twice. The second time the person said she was unable to help me and was transferring me to someone else to assist, 10 minutes later (no exaggeration) I was disconnected.

During the tech support calls we've tried configurations using our old router, and without using it, resetting the voice settings in the Vonage router, rebooting and unplugging everything several times, and tried both phone ports (though again, line 1's LED lights no matter what). Also tried two different phones.

I could call back but I'm wary of the idea of going through the script again... Any ideas what else we could try?
