I setup the vonage voip. Eveything works great but I just found out that when I talked to ADT about voip. They said it is not compatible. (Suprised me becasue I ask Vonage sales rep before I ordered and she said vonage voip compatible with ADT) They gave me an option is to setup cellular backup but it costs me $400 to install and $10 more per month for monitoring. I told them this is not an option at all because one of the main reason for me to switch from landline to voip is financial advantage. Do you guys get the same problem if using ADT? What is my options? I have checked other thread about alarm.com, nextalarm.com and ucontrol. But it seems like I have to spend few hunderds or even more to change my alarm equipment or at least to change to one of the adapter ($100 but who knows how reliable doing this way) offered by nextalarm.com. Again, I think many people do think that switching from landline to voip is financail advantage but it turns out cost more to start. I like to swtich to vonage voip but if that is the only case. I may just return the voip and keep the landline.
Any suggestion would be appreciated!
