Vonage Hi I have a vonage account and this weekend I tried to connect a Linksys WRT54G wireless



Hi I have a Vonage account and this weekend I tried to connect a Linksys WRT54G wireless router to my PC. It goes from Motorola Cable modem Vonage VT2142 Linksys WRT54G wireless router PC. I can connect to the internet still, but I have a remote desktop to connect my PC to my work PC and that does not work anymore. After some time with Linksys support they determined that both devices have NAT (Network Address Translation). You cannot forward one port behind two NAT devices. You can open the port for the WRT54G router but the Vonage will still block the 3389 port. He said If the Motorola Vonage server has a DHCP server feature, you can just make the router act like a wireless switch and let the Motorola provide the IP address for all your computers. Then, forward the port 3389 in your Motorola and it should work then. Is this possible, if not what can I do to fix this? Can I put the order like this: Motorola Cable modem Linksys WRT54G wireless routerVonage VT2142 PC. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You can change the order around and have the WRT be the main router and both the Vonage
The order of the units will not effect the quality of the phone connection?
Under most circumstances, the order won't matter. As long as you have a decent
unfortunately, the order didn't matter. I still cant connect to my work computer
First of all you are entirely missing the point if I am reading you correctly. 1)
