Hi,
I have a RTP-300 which i managed to configure successfully and tested the phone line. It worked perfectly.

I restarted my PC after a software update and noticed that the internet is not getting connected. Checked the Ipconfig and was surprised that the default gateway is coming empty and the IP address was also something different that I had configured.

I've tried restarting the PC and the router numerous times, but no use. Attaching the output of the the commands I have tried.

if I get the default gateway address, I can log into the configuration page and assign my ISP's address, but I can't as the modem is not returning a gateway address. I have tried the factory reset button, but still no use.

Could somebody tell me what is wrong with the router? Please help.

I'd check to see if DHCP was turned on in the RTP first. If not, turn it on, and reboot
How do I start the DHCP on the RTP?
Go into the web interface, and it should be on the first page that comes up. Look
The Web interface doesn't open at all. I get a page not found error in IE. I used 192.168.15.1
I assume you have the computer directly connected to the router with an ethernet
Yes, I have connected the computer directly to the router with the ethernet cable. I
So, you put a patch on your PC and now you're not getting an IP address via DHCP. How
I had installed a Service pack to Visual Studio. I guess it has nothing to do with
