Hi, I don't know if this problem has been posted before (if so, I haven't been able to find it within the past 3 or 4 pages), but ever since we started using Vonage a few weeks ago we've been having the same problem.

We are currently using a phone which first plays callers an automated message. However, if they hang up before the message finishes playing, it does not register that and continues to block the line until someone notices and re-hangs up that line. I am unsure on whether that is a phone problem or something to do with our router/Vonage. Currently, this is our (essential) setup:

Modem -> Linksys WRT54GS -> Linksys RTP300 -> Phone.

Overall, we have 2 RTP300's connected to our wireless router, which is servicing about 6 computers. There are no active uploaders or downloaders on the network, yet this seems to happen quite often.

You could also try putting the phone adapter after the modem and the router last
The source of your problems is the RTP300... It doesn't use standard call progress
So this can be fixed with new firmware?
