Hi,

I also just added a WRT54GX4 to my network (replacing a functional WRT54G (worked well with Vonage - Motorola VT1005V MTA). Upon replacing the old router with the new, I too experience audio chop at a frequency of 1 - 1.5 seconds and it will degrade further with time (where the status LED on the VT1005 will begin blinkin as if trying to reconnect). Everything I've read points to ineffective Quality of Service (QoS) handling by the WRT54GX4 and although it has capabilities in it's administrative interface to assign high priority and bandwidth to the MTA equipment, it doesn't seem to matter (or work for that matter). I'm hoping there is a configuration solution for the WRT54GX4 vs. having to put the MTA in front of the Router as this plays havoc with my VPN I am required to use for work (not to mention foiling any port-forwarding I setup for various web services in the router). Hope someone a lot smarter than me has figured this one out! :eek:
