Vonage Hey everyone, Well, my problem this week seems to be that I can't get my VoIP



Hey everyone,

Well, my problem this week seems to be that I can't get my Voip system to work and it hasn't been working at least the last 4 days. It had been working fine for the last 3 months or so but recently, well not so much. I have service through Vonage and lately I haven't been able to send or receive calls over my system. The Voip adapter (Linksys PAP2) that I have has 4 LEDs on it (one for power, ethernet connection, phone1, and phone2). The power and ethernet LEDs are on but the phone LEDs aren't lit when I pick up a phone. And I do get a dial-tone on all the phones that I've tried.

I have two phones connected to the system. I've tried 3 different phones in various combinations, I've tried different phone cables and different ethernet cables, I've tried connecting the Voip adapter to different ports on my router and I've tried 2 other routers. I've also tried power cycling my Voip adapter and other routers with no luck. I have not power cycled my modem, though I did reset my IP. I'll try power cycling my modem as soon as I get a chance. Also, I have my system set up so that if the phone isn't answered within 30 seconds it forwards to a cell phone. This features still works so I'm pretty sure it's not an issue with my Vonage service.

I did look through most of the Vonage FAQ pages but I didn't find anything useful, though I am in a hurry so I might have overlooked something.

So, any thoughts, suggestions, ideas?

If I'm too vague or left something (important) out just let me know.
