Hey everyone! I'm actually in the process of porting out a Vonage assigned number. I did exactly what rcb116 said about a month ago: I called up another carrier, asked for a number transfer, and kept my Vonage line up.

Unfortunately, the initial request was rejected on the basis that the name did not match the Vonage user name, which it of course did. So one rejection for no reason. The new company resubmitted the request again today. Maybe it was somebody's slip up and they hit the wrong button, I'll give the benefit of the doubt for now. Another rejection and it will definitely raise suspicions.
