Vonage Hey everyone. I finally got my RT31P2 to work with my existing router and everything

Hey everyone. I finally got my RT31P2 to work with my existing router and everything is working great for the most part. I'm pretty sure I need to configure some ports in my router(s) to resolve my issue but I don't have a clue what to change. What is happening is when somebody calls me, my own voice starts ghosting and I hear my voice echo which can be extremely annoying, but then I just tell whoever I'm talking to that I will call them right back because whenever I call them, the echo goes away :?

I guess that problem is an issue with incoming packets or something but I'm not very savvy with port configurations. Another issue I'm having (which I know is common) is with a constant background noise. It's definitely not a huge problem because it still sounds better than a good cell phone conversation but if port routing can help reduce this noise that would be most excellent.

My current setup is:

cable modem -> linksys 4-port cable/dsl router -> linksys RT31P2 -> 2 computers

Any help on this would be very much appreciated :)

Oh and if anyone has a similar setup as me and needs help with configuring the RT31P2 to work with an existing router, I would be glad to post how I set it up to work properly. :)
