Hey, I just bought myself the Linksys wireless G router with two phone ports, a dandy bluelight blinking speed daemon,
Though, I did notice the sever difference in web responsiveness, the Qos for the voice DOES slow web surfing.
More importantly, though, the G wireless IS a step up from the 11MB Dlink connection I was using, in terms of bandwidth throughput (when the connection is made).
One little tidbit to share: In the process of experimenting with using the old D-link router as the direct connection to the modem, and the Linksys one (vonage) as a secondary, I noticed that the PC activity light on my Motorola surfboard was blinking... this is not normal.
In other words I have reset the Linksys modem, but unpluging it, and now that PC activity light is NOT blinking...
Mayhap that in the process of activating the service for the first time, it's good to reset your Vonage router to make a new stable connection.
Web speeds are not as fast as they should be, but I'm not massively complaining, simply because I know that the Voip will always have precedence.
