Hey All,
I stumbled upon your forum as I was trying to determine why my Vonage connection was so poor.

Here is the scoop. I've been with Vonage for about 3 months now, and I have found that I get numerous dropped calls as well as unrelaiable voice tranmission (I can hear the caller, but they can't hear me).

At first, I thought it was a Vonage issue. But after some troubleshooting using MultiPing by Nessoft, I have determined that I have big packet loss problems as well as latency issues.

I have had comcast out to my house twice so far, and on the second visit they replaced the modem. Needless to say, this did not resolve anything.

I have them coming out tomorrow to check things out again. Any suggestions on what I should show the tech other than the graphs/statistics that MultiPing is showing?

As of the typing of this post, I have an average of 4% packet loss, with a total of about 5500 packets dropped in a 36 hour period. My ping times (I'm pinging google.com as well as my modem's gateway) range from 10ms up to 2800 ms.

I'm fearful that the tech is going to come up, do some voodoo and run some speed tests and tell me that everything is OK.
