Lost internet connection and telephone connection.
Plugged my computer directly to he cable modem and got the web.
Plugged in RT31P2 and still had internet, but still no phone
Plugged in Belkin wireless router lost internet, tried cable modem to Belkin to computer, no web.
Talked to Vonage support and after checking many things, they told me my RT31P2 was bad, send the $99 and they would send me a Linksys RTP300 router.
Here is the question (finally, eh)
It looks like I must have gotten a power surge or something that knocked out both pieces. I need some combination of wireless router and Vonage router, I don't care if they are 1 piece or 2 pieces.
Best Buy has the PAP2 for $60, RT31P2 for $90 and WRTP54G for $130. (All get me a $25 gift card)
Circuit Cuty has the VT1005V $80 it has some rebates as well
The first 2 do not have wireless, the last one does. I can pick up a wireless router reasonably cheap, my biggest concern is getting something reliable and quick, I don't have phone service right now.
What are the suggestions.
