Vonage Hello guys,
Today i went to bestbuy and had bought a Linksys Pap2 phone adapter,
Hello guys,
Today i went to bestbuy and had bought a Linksys Pap2 phone adapter, promptly after buying it i visited vonages website and made a account.
After making the account, and verifying all the information i read the quick install and proceeded to install the pap2 onto my Linksys WRT54GS router.
Ok so any how here is the problem, after turning on all the devices in the order that the manual stated, all i get is a solid power and internet light on the PAP2, the phone 1 wich i have the phone plugged into doesnt even flash,blink, go solid, light up or anything.
So with this, i looked in the manual configured my router how the book said it should be. I looked on the website for help, did all it said i could do there like press #80 hang up, pickup phone in 30 seconds ect and i get no dial tone.
Now this is driving me crazy, has anyone had this problem? Have any idea what im doing wrong? Is it possible that i used the wrong Mac ID by typoing a letter or what? i have absolutly no clue what the problem is or how to fix it. And since im short a phone line (hence getting Vonage) i cant call their tech support for help. please help? :roll:
::Edit:: Forgot to add the reason- not getting any dial tone, the only thing i can do with the phone is access the menu through pressing "****"
