I am trying to decide if the service is for me... maybe somebody
Hello guys:
I am trying to decide if the service is for me... maybe somebody can help me with that:
1- We have a net of 4 computers. If we install Vonage adapter before our router, and install the apropriate software in our computers, can we answer calls from ANY computer? In this situation, will this work as a phone? That is, if somebody is talking and you "get the phone," will you hear their conversation?
2 - If the above is NOT true, can we have more than one adapter with the same number? That is, one adapter per computer so that any computer can answer the same telephone number?
3- Based on the same line of thought as 2 above: can I have an adapter in one city, and othe in other city using the same telephone number, so that any person in any of the cities can answer the same call?
4- If I have more than one number using the same adapter: can I route the call according to the the number called? Again - imagine we are answering the calls using our computers, and not phones.
5- We have a router for our Intranet - we are going to answer calls using our computers - Do we still need Vonage adapter, or is there a way to use our own router to receive Vonage service?

• Yep... but at least now I know which way to go. Of course I may get 2 accounts + 2 softphoes,
