Vonage Hello everyone. I currently subscribe to Vonage and own a Vtech Cordless VoIP
Hello everyone. I currently subscribe to Vonage and own a Vtech Cordless Voip Phone (IP 8100-1) with 2 handsets. So far I've had the Vonage service for almost 1 yr and am very pleased with it. However, I now want to network a 2nd computer to our home, and (wanting to go wireless) I was told by Vonage customer support that I should buy a Linksys Wireless Broadband Router. This will be the first time I've ever attempted to hookup a network, so I am looking for details in order to do it right. Vonage customer support told me once I buy the router, I needed to call them up and give them the router's MAC # (before I hook up the lines), that way they'll set it up so the Vonage phone will work as soon as I hook it up to the router. Can someone please tell me if they are using their Vonage phone on a wireless network? If so, can you please tell me, do you experience more sound drops after going wireless? Which router would you recommend I get? Like I said, this will be a first time experience for me, so any help or feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
