Vonage Hello everbody! I have enjoyed this forum having looked through it this afternoon.



Hello everbody! I have enjoyed this forum having looked through it this afternoon. I have had Vonage for about 6 months and have had on/off problems with it. It will work great for a while and then cause me fits with low quality calls, dropped calls, calls where I can't hear the other person, etc I've been looking through many of the postings and have followed some of your advice. Could you please help me interpret these results? I will offer 2 postings – one with results from my current configuration and another with it directly hooked up to my Cable Modem.

1. Your location: Muskegon, MI
2. Your ISP name and type (cable, DSL, wireless etc): Comcast Cable
3. Upload and download speeds: Download: 4.14 MBS; Upload: 367 kbps (from Voip Speed Test)
4. Modem make and model: Motorola S85120 Cable Modem
5. Type of Vonage adapter: Linksys RT31P2
6. Setup of Network: Modem-Vonage Adapter-PC (note that I have also worked under a configuration of a wireless modem coming off my Vonage Adapter, but that has not seemed to add/subtract my problems.)
7. Issue you are experiencing: dropped calls, choppy audio, other person can’t hear me, fuzzy audio, etc.
8. DETAILED results from www.testyourvoip.com with a test call to Boston.

Also, my overall test scores have ranged from 2.5 to 3.5.
