Hello. before i describe my problems let me tell you that I have pretty much read all the posts on this forum! I have the Linksys WRTP54G router and an Orion 3000 Cable Modem from Time warner(road runner) I updated the Firmware to 1.029(on the router) as described in this forum. When people call my phone they get a temperarily out of service message and it takes about 5 trys to get through(not allways exactaly this). If I enable voicemail it doesnt not ring, goes straight to voicemail( but no "temp" message when voicemail is enabled). i have played with the delay seconds and it is the same problem. call forwarding is disabled. When i call out to a certain number(long distance) it always just rings and never picks up, and then try it with my cell phone i get through. When i call(other numbers) and get through after about 2 minutes it cuts out and drops me. and gives me a couple beeps. I have the bandwidth set to the lowest setting. My wireless internet has been flawless with this router i have not had any lost connections on the internet. please help me! I read a post about someone with the same voicemail issue but the thread didnt say if the issue was solved. Ive done reboots of the router and cable modem with no luck please help or im going to be forced to get rid of Vonage.

Go to testyourvoip.com, run the test and post your detailed results.
Here are the test results if you want to call them that, I disabled the windows Firewall
I was able to use the "Golden Phone" option from testyourvoip Here are the results:
I own a PAP2 so I'm not sure how the WRTP54G works but do you still need to port forward
What would they port forward? The WRTP54G is both router and Vonage device, and

yes they are, and anyway, port forwarding is only needed in rare cases when talking
