Vonage Hello all, This is my first time post on this forum after I discovered it earlier

Hello all,

This is my first time post on this forum after I discovered it earlier today. The whole reason I am working with a Vonage account is because a client of mine is looking to use their Allworx 10x PBX system to handle internet telephony and to cutdown on the costs of having numerous Verizon lines. They also have AllWorx 9112 SIP phones which are currently plugged into their network. Their current setup is that the SIP phones contact the AllWorx 10x PBX system which is connected to 6 outside Verizon lines.

This brings me to my current problem. The AllWorx 10x PBX system is completely certified and guaranteed to work with Vonage, as well as several other internet telephone companies. My client chose Vonage for it's reputation and for it's constant growth which is outpacing other companies.

Anyway he signed up for a $49.99 Vonage business account with the hopes that Vonage would work with his system. As we sat down and worked with this today, I discovered that Vonage would need to send me the SIP Server address/Outbound Proxy/Registrary addresses in order to get the PBX to work correctly with the Vonage service. I called Vonage and was told that they could not give out that information, although things may change down the road and to call back.

This leaves my client pretty paniced as he needs phone access for his growing business. In fact the employee's are using up the available analog lines and some offices are getting crowded lines. Initially my clients goal was to see if Vonage could replace analog lines and to have 6-8 numbers with Vonage so that 6-8 people could have simultaneous conversations on the Vonage accounts.

Appearantly while the PBX is designed to work with Vonage, Vonage wouldn't cooperate and give the needed info. Now my question is, is there anyway to use the Motorola Phone adapter to connect into the PBX system as a way to get an additional 1-2 lines to work with internet telephone? Or is this something that just won't work until Vonage releases the SIP info???

Brad

Vonage with Allworx 10x PBX system

Hi PBX will not be compatible with vonage... what ever sip server or whatever
You'll have to have some sort of analog interface for the Motorola adapter. I'm
I have PBX experiance but not with Allworx. In any case I would have Allworx
Vonage used to have a SIP plan that they have currently put on hold. This was available
That's funny because I had my Allworx 6x working just fine. Though I was only using
