Hello all!

I know that many people take the time to voice complaints, but very few offer compliments.

I started using Vonage shortly after they launched, in fact I still have an old ATA-186 sitting around somewhere! I had always been happy with the service, even then. The deal breaker at the time was the lack of even basic 911. So, I moved on.

I then got it for a second time, and was happy. When my phone company rolled out 10000/768 DSL, I signed up for it. Since at the time you had to have dial tone, I once again said goodbye to Vonage.

Fast-forward to today. My phone company now offers the 10000/768 DSL package without phone service. I canceled the phone service the first chance I got.

So, I grabbed my old Linksys ATA (saved from the second time I had Vonage) and signed up once again for Vonage. Hooked everything up and....nothing!

So I called tech support. What a good experience! We worked together for about 20 minutes trying various things, but nothing worked. He then sent out a reconditioned box (VT2442) overnight, free of charge. Hooked it up, and all is well!

I've had the service this time around for over a month, and I have yet to have a single blip with the service. I've had a couple of hour-long conversations and there's no lag, echo, or dropouts.

So anyway, hats off to you, Vonage. While I don't expect 100% perfection, the service has certainly lived up to my realistic expectations. :-D
