Hello, Update: With further research I have solved the problem. I have found some info posted but my problem is still perplexing me as I am receiving the "This device is not setup..." error message Here is my configuration: Cable modem -> Dlink DIR-655 wireless router -> Motorola VT2442. The Dlink is set to provide DHCP and is working properly. The VT2442 is to be used only for phone connection. All three of these units are physically together with no other switches etc between them. Per advice from our forum advisors: (1) On the wireless router: I have added port forwarding for 53, 21,69,2400,80,123,5061, 10000-20000. I assigned this to ip address: 192.168.15.4 (random and outside DHCP range) With DHCP, the Dlink assigns addresses starting at 100 up. Here is info from my computer: IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.15.198 Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.15.1 The DHCP range starts at 100. I need to know what else needs to be set (for each menu item) on either device to make this work. I cannot find steps to give the VT2442 the IP address of 15.4. Prior to the addition of the dlink, I had the VT2442 performing DHCP and routing with no problems. Any advice/links appreciated, more info provided if necessary.. thanks

Well I spoke too soon - My call quality is still poor: my Vonage tranmission quality
You should hook the vonage box to the cable modem then hook your router into the
Does the DIR-655 have QoS? If so, I would strongly recommend that you enable it
