Vonage Hello. Recently I subscribed with Vonage and was really excited to get the F1000.



Hello. Recently I subscribed with Vonage and was really excited to get the F1000. Unfortunately the F1000 is a piece of crap. Sure it's got some good features, but what happened with text messaging? Anyways, I'm having a more severe problem than text messaging:

My Linksys WRT150N (firmware v1.01.9 Jun 23, 2007 - latest) is setup for WPA2 Personal with a preshared key. When my F1000 goes to connect to the AP, it simply gets stuck at "Connecting to [AP name]" and nothing happens. However, occasionally it will connect to the AP, but that's after hours of fiddling with settings only to revert them back to normal and then suddenly having it work. However, I've noticed if I DISABLE WPA the phone connects to the access point instantly with only one try, but unencrypted is unacceptable.

There's no logic in anything that's happening. I've been an experienced electronics/computer guru for over 10 years, and nothing I do seems to be fixing the problem. Sure, I've done all of the following:

* Disabled WPA2 temporarily (as above it works, but unencrypted is not acceptable).
* Tried WPA Personal (note the lack of "2" on the WPA) - no change.
* Factory reset my settings and started over from scratch - no effect.
* Rebooted the cable modem, router, and phone - of course no effect.
* Enabled logging on my phone - log reveals nothing useful (simply "Wifi Connected" and "Wifi Disconnected". It is NOT a DHCP problem.
* Verified that the phone is in range... no matter if I'm on top of the AP or not it still has the same problem.
* Tried DD-WRT on the AP, but DD-WRT is not fully compatible with my WRT150N - so I went back to Linksys firmware.
* Bashed some skulls in - sure, that didn't fix the problem, but I feel a little better.

I BEG of someone to help me. Looking on this forum reveals nothing useful related to my problem. Am I alone? >.<

P.S. Yes, my phone has the latest Vonage firmware (5.90vo)
