Let me vent my frustration. I've been a customer of Vonage now for over 2 years. I see that Vonage offers new customers the Motorola VT2542 for 59.00 Well the only people that can order this online are people wanting to start with Vonage. I called the number listed and was told that is the sales department so I was politely transferred over to another individual in customer service I'm guessing. After being on hold, I was told I would have to order a 2nd phone line, then would be charged a new startup fee, I'd be charged shipping and handling of the new router plus of course pay for the router. He then told me OR i could go to a retail store and pay retail price for the router and skip the shipping and handling. This is bunk !
MR. Mike Snyder, CEO of Vonage, do you read these messages? Instead of busting your chops to get new customers, why don't you keep the customers you have happy and let word of mouth sell your product!!!!!! All I wanted to do is get the same deal you would give any new person off the street. Having the old wired router for over 2 years I think should allow me the same benefit as a new customer, but nooooooooooooooooo.
Oh, did I happen to mention that none of the stores around here have the Motorola VT2542? I can buy the Linksys brand or D-Link, but that is not the models I want. I want the model you offer NEW CUSTOMERS for at least that price !
I have a idea. Why don't I cancel my service with your company, then I can use your darn website to order the wireless router that I would like to purchase since I can't find it at a retail store for a retail price !
