Hello, I just got my Vontage adaptor today. I installed in a system with an existing Belkin wireless router. There is good voice quality, until one of the 5 computers on the router starts downloading a file. With the Belkin router setup, I didn't see where I could give the Vontage adaptor any priority or QoS. I'm wondering if I can make the Vontage VT2442-VD the main router just after my SDSL modem, and the Belkin F5D8230-4 Pre-N just a dumb access point, if that might work. Thanks in advance! Bob here's my stats: 1. Your location: Arab Alabama 2. Your ISP name and type: Otelco, DSL (SDSL) 3. Upload and download speeds: about 1mb symetrical 4. Modem make and model: Xpeed SDSL 5. Type of Vonage adapter used: VT2442-VD 6. Setup of Network: Modem-> Belkin F5D8230-4 Pre-N Router -> Netgear Switch -> Vonage Adapter + 5 PC's 7. Issue you are experiencing: choppy audio when PC downloading files. 8. Run this VoIP Test: (see below) Speed test statistics - Download speed: 977216 bps Upload speed: 974720 bps Quality of service: 99 % Download test type: socket Upload test type: socket Maximum download pause: 18 ms Average download pause: 11 ms Minimum round trip time to server: 38 ms Average round trip time to server: 42 ms VoIP test statistics - Jitter: you -> server: 4.4 ms Jitter: server -> you: 9.3 ms Packet loss: you -> server: 0.0 % Packet loss: server -> you: 0.0 % Packet discards: 0.0 % Packets out of order: 0.0 % Number of supported VoIP lines: 16 Estimated MOS score: 3.9
