Vonage Hello, I have the 7310 and i am having issues getting this to work with vonage.



Hello,

I have the 7310 and i am having issues getting this to work with Vonage. I have gone through about 3 days worth of time on the phone with Vonage and HP, we have gone through all the settings such as the following.

Set baud to 9600 through the r/w settings not the HP setup menu

turn off Error Correction

make sure i am using a 2 conductor telephone line

Replacement of machine from HP to make sure it wasn't the fax hardware

*99 to change the packet type (only gives a fast busy signal

Tried sending/receiving faxes on my voice line rather than the dedicated fax line

With all of these settings i cannot seem to get my machine to successfully send/receive faxes consistently, currently it will take 4-5 attempts to get a fax to go through, sometimes more.

Vonage says they have changed all settings they could possibly change and came to the conclusion that thir service will not work for me. What i dent understand is why not? I have read on this forum that others have the 7310xi and it works fine on Vonage. I contacted HP to find out the difference and this is totally hilarious the difference is that the xi comes with a USB cable the normal one doesn't and you have to buy it separately. The hardware is all the same. So why would one customer have no issues and i have all of these inconsistencies?

If anyone has any ideas i would love to hear them.
