Vonage Hello Everyone, Today I had the pleasure of picking up not one, but two VT1005s

Hello Everyone, Today I had the pleasure of picking up not one, but two VT1005s from my local CompUSA. Thinking the first was DOA, because it wouldn't DHCP an address from my firewall ... and wouldn't get past the triple-blink stage once a static IP had been configured ... I exchanged the first unit for a second, thinking that the original must have been DOA. No such luck, however, as they both did the exact same thing. The DHCP problem, as it turns out, is a known issue with placing the unit behind a PIX 501 firewall. Having configured a static IP address, the unit seems to be happy in that respect. The triple-blink problem, however, has been a real bugger. After spending a good bit of time trying to debug that animal, I finally load up ethereal. Wouldn't you know it ... this is what I see: DNS Standard query A mot.vonage.net DNS Standard query response CNAME tftp.vonage.net TFTP Read request, File: motvt1000_xxxxxxxxxxxx.bin TFTP Error code, Code: File not found So ... my question to those who are perhaps wiser on matters pertaining to firmware ... how exactly do I get past this so that I can do the first time activation on my VT1005? I presume the unit I've purchased, while new, has sat in the CompUSA warehouse for a while ... and is probably trying to pull an out-of-date file off of the Vonage tftp server. Thoughts, anyone? Many Thanks! Skelton
