Vonage He's already got the primary side taken care of... assuming this guy is for real

He's already got the primary side taken care of... assuming this guy is for real and this isn't some sort of huge ho-ax, that is. It sounded like he bought a p/s locally. How he ended up with over twice the voltage and half the current that his PAP2 needs I have not figured out, even after three pages of posts.

Three pages we went on with this guy. That's why I feel this must be a gag. No matter what we did it was never enough. We did everything we could think of short of getting on a plane and setting it up for the guy in person.

Apparently he took the p/s that came with the adapter and matched it to something that would work locally. But if that is the case then he obviously bought some pirated bootleg setup and not something from a reputable retailer.

If what Ed says is true about his adapter needing Vonage firmware pre-installed then he is SOL unless he can get the correct p/s locally and make the old one work, assuming it isn't fried. And that assumes he didn't get ripped off and buy something that isn't even Vonagey. And the more I think about it, the more what Ed says makes sense. How does an adapter straight out of a retail box know to hook up to the Vonage network without being somehow programmed in advance?

Then, assuming he can get his PAP2 to work, I wonder if he won't fry his phone with the excessive ring voltage.

And finally, how does he set up an account with Vonage in the first place? Somebody said that Vonage doesn't service India. There's probably a good reason. I suspect that theirs is a monopoly-money currency. I mean do the forex traders deal in Indian rupees?

There are too many unanswered questions here for this to be a legitimate deal. Service him if you want, but it looks like this guy is under a curse (assuming again that this is a real situation even) and you will end up making another three pages of posts and be right back where you started, methinks.

Sorry for my absence. i'd gone to the linksys retailer to find out about the problem.
I'd check with these retailers and ask: http://www-in.linksys.com/servlet/Satellite?c=L_Content_C1&
