Going forward in ATAs isn't always taking a step forward. If I had my choice of ATAs, I'd prefer to have one of the Cisco ATAs. If they're anything like Cisco's IP phones are, they'd make a real nice product. Of course, at $200/pop, there's no mistaking why Vonage is going with the Linksys products.
I'm currently having line noise issues with my RT31P2 (been through 2 of them, with the 2nd one they sent far worse than the first), otherwise I'd just let it be. I'd much rather have a mature product that's been thoroughly tested in the field than a new one hot off the drafting table.
The RTP300 & WRTP54G seem to be very similar in design & firmware, so they're probably the same product...and you can read all about the love stories people have for their WRTP54G's on this forum. I'm planning on using it strictly as a phone adatper, so I'll hopefully miss out on all the pain & suffering.
