For what its worth i spent a total of 6.5 hours over 2 days on support calls with Vonage on this issue. Suffice it to say between level 1, level 2 and level 3 we tried about ever trick in the Vonage tech support playbook. Enableing or disabling IPv6 had no bearing at all on the solution.
The ONLY thing that got be back up and running was forcing the IP address on the Vista client. I encountered this when my Vonage LInksys wireless router died and they replaced it with the DLINK Vonage Wireless router (The Linksys never had this problem). Now i can surf just fine for the most part, although occasionally i have to go in and redo the forced IP and apply and then it comes back. However, this is a really bad solution as it breaks my home network solution. I use a HP Media vault for document back up and access across mulitiple PC's. Between Vista and the Vonage Dlink router none of the back up tools work properly over the network, even with forced IP address's on both the NAS and the Vista boxes. The XPPro boxes work just fine with this router and the Vista boxes also worked with the now dead Linksys Vonage router. Dlink isnt planning on doing anything about it is as they just pointed me back to Vonage since its a Vonage proprietary ROM. So if you have the Dlink Router and in my situation....we are just SOL for now.
