Vonage For weeks I have had numerous issues with Vonage....fast busy on outbound, ring



For weeks I have had numerous issues with Vonage....fast busy on outbound, ring no answer on outbound (even though receiver says they answer), inbound call phone rings once or not at all, receiver answers call 2s before I am connected to them...and sometimes everything is just fine.

So today, after being told by tech support that I should disconnect my Vonage service...after being on hold for 45min...i was extremely frustrated.

So i contacted the Vonage Executive Response Team.

They pinged my local router with results ranging from 120-200ms. I was told that was way to high and the cause of all my issues. I pinged one of their routers (67.17.64.154) with the same results. I am using Comcast.

Do you really think the high latency is the issue? Perhaps http://ww.pbs.org/cringley was right.

Just ping the above server for 30s here is my result and i am still having issues.

round-trip min/avg/max = 30.883/76.146/133.188 ms
