Vonage For the past 3 weeks or so, I have been experiencing the same problem as discussed



For the past 3 weeks or so, I have been experiencing the same problem as discussed in this forum. It took a week or so to realize the problem was at my end, not the other person's voice mail system. About 80% of my calls to someone that I know has voice mail ring many more times than normal, then result in dead air. Sometimes it will ring 6 times, sometimes 25-then dead air. About 10% of the time, voice mail picks up like it should. About another 10% of the time, someone answers. I'm also being told by my contacts that they were home at the time of my call and never heard the phone ring.

As if this problem weren't frustrating enough, I've called tech support about a dozen times in the last two weeks and keep going through the same fruitless troubleshooting. After about the fifth call I started being insistent about talking to a manager but keep getting template answers from the tech folks. Twice I was told I was being connected to a higher level tech, but the problem persists and there's no way to follow up with the higher support folks-I have to start all over. Just yesterday, which was about the 12th call, I found out no ticket had ever been written up! I am beyond frustrated and thinking seriously about cancelling this service altogether. There seems to be no such thing as a customer service department to voice complaints-only the tech support which keeps promising it will be fixed, to no avail.

My ticket number is #3863435. My Vonage device is a Linksys (Cisco) Router, model # RTP300, connected to a Motorola Comcast cable router, the SB5101. Any advice or insight is much appreciated!
