So anyway, hopefully the info above will tell you something. The problem I have been having all seems to be with this Linksys RTP300 and I'm really wondering if switching to the Motorola VT2442 would help out.

Two problems are very common here at the office. First of all, at least one morning a week I'll have to reset the router by unplugging it. When I get to the office none of the computers can connect to the internet. Once I reset the router all is great for several days again but the problem keeps on coming back. It has been doing that ever since we received the unit. I thought that perhaps a firmware update would fix the problem, but 2 firmware updates later this is still happening.

The second problem is a bit stranger. Again it is fixed by resetting the router but this one is far more annoying. The router is apparently connecting and disconnecting from the internet. I'm not sure how to best explain it but it seems to go into some kind of internal loop of some sort. The best example would be the instant messenger clients that we have installed (MSN, AIM, and sometimes Skype). When this problem is occurring the messengers will popup every minute or so and say that they are reconnecting. A minute later then will be disconnected but then after another minute they are connected again. They will continue to do this until the RTP300 is reset then everything works normal again for several more days. Also, while this is going on, websurfing is useless because a constant connection can not be made. A website will often load partially and then the browser will just get hung in space trying to load that page because the internet connection cut off half way through loading. If you then hit reload the page may or may not load. If it does load it will probably get hung on the first link that you try to click. Again, this is all solved by resetting the router as well.

I haven't had any problems with Voice calls at all yet though. We've never had any dropped calls. Things seem to be fine on that end so I know the internet connection from Comcast is ok. Everything is just messed up with this RTP300 thing.

First of all, what might be causing this and second, are the Motorola VT2442's more reliable?

Thanks and sorry for the long explanation but I want to get to the bottom of this. It is extremely frustrating.
