Everytime I read something like this I want to fly overseas and start slapping the yellow off these people's teeth. They should know that:
You can (and should) put 2 lines on each router. Putting one line per router is wasteful, it wastes space, shipping costs, electricity, time setting up, on and on. I don't know if sales reps get more money for shipping out more routers or what. But next time someone says you need 1 router for each number, get off the phone with them and get someone in the states to talk to.
If you want to bring in a fax line, you have to bring it into Vonage as a normal line. Then once that number's transfer is complete, an agent will remove it from your account. That ported number is off your account but stays in our pool. Then we add a dummy fax line of some other number, and swap that dummy fax line for the number you brought into Vonage.
You don't have to open a new account for every line! Blatant up-selling to get more lines sold. You should keep business and residential numbers separate, if only for billing/tax reasons, but setting up a separate account just for your fax line is asinine.
