Vonage Did some research today on the Linksys third party software. Quite interesting.

Did some research today on the Linksys third party software. Quite interesting. I like the GPL/Linux angle. I'm kinda thinking about the wireless Linksys using DD-WRT. As you said, I can always disable the Wireless when the N stuff goes final. In my current home, I'm using 3 AirPort Express' using WDS to get all the way downstairs (It's a townhouse)

I really prefer having devices that don't do everything, For the very reasons around wirless N. I want to be able to update the different components as I need.

I'm still leaning toward the separate router and PA, The money is not a big issue as we are talking around $100 for both. Looked at the PAP2, may go that route instead of the Dlink PA.

Thanks much for your input, GREAT info! I'm been in IT for over 20 years. Can't keep up any more. Way too much stuff out there.
