Vonage Based on some favorable comments posted here, I purchased a Uniden TRU8065 cordless
Based on some favorable comments posted here, I purchased a Uniden TRU8065 cordless phone in January. It has worked great, until a few weeks ago.
A couple of times a week, the base station will lose power. I had to pull the power cord out of the back and replug. It boots up but the handset discharges back to 1 bar of power. It did this a few more times over the next few weeks and I called Uniden. They suggested NOT plugging it into a power bar (which it was) as it cannot draw enough power. They also said plugging the power back in made it think it was charging the handset all over again, which was why the handset went back to 1 bar of power.
So I plugged the phone into an extension cord (with nothing else on it) and directly into the wall outlet.
This morning - it died again. But this time it booted back up by itself. And, again, the handset reverted back to 1 bar.
Another call to Uniden - this time they had me go through a manual reset of the base station. If this didn't work they said to exchange it at the store, as it was most likely a fault on the circuit board or something.
My question is - have any other Uniden users experienced this and could the PAP2 somehow be scrambling the phone? TIA.
